Some of you might already do this but it was new and I find it really tasty so I figured I’d share. I’ve only toasted my oats dry in the air fryer in the bake setting so far so I’m not sure how the butter method would turn out. Enjoy!

A forum friend emailed me and said he tried toasted oats with butter and maple syrup and gave it a raving review.
I had some toasted oats this morning before my outdoor workout with flax, hemp, chia, sunflower seeds and warmed blueberries and it was delicious. Possibly not going to fit everyone’s eating style but for where I’m at currently it’s perfect.

I used to make toasted oatmeal with a very small amount of butter and it was very good cooked or added to other dry cereal. I was trying to make something like granola without all the sugar and extra oil. I toasted a bunch of rolled whole oatmeal yesterday to use when I cook some every morning. Thanks for the reminder how good it is toasted.

That’s fantastic. I’m planning on making granola next so if you have any suggestions that would be awesome. 😊

I haven't made granola in ages. If I were to make some now I would use butter instead of the oil in the recipes and I would use much less than listed in the recipes. And I wouldn't use as much honey as they list either. It won't stick together in big clumps but the flavor and crunchiness would still be good.
