Finasteride for Women?

Hi All!
I am a 54 yo woman, taking bioidentical hormones. Injecting small amount of testosterone weekly. One of the side effects, unsurprisingly, is oilier skin. My doctors has prescribed me finaseride to counter the DHT being produced by testosterone. His words. After reading the horrible experiences with finaseride with men, I would never take that drug.
However, I realize men and women are different. Is anyone aware of any studies or trials of women taking this? My initial reaction was shock that he even prescribed it.

any study won't be long term enough, or will be otherwise designed to hide serious negative consequences, or the drug would not remain approved.

Don't touch it. Throw it away. There aren't many reports from women but there are some on propeciahelp that sound just as bad as male experiences. Hi, I'm a Woman

Thank you for that link. I told the pharmacy to disregard the rx and won't be taking it. Some really horrible stories for both men and women. Again, shocking, but also not shocking just knowing how out of touch dr.'s are.
